General

What areas do you serve in Volusia County?
Port Orange first, then most of Volusia County. Daytona Beach, South Daytona, New Smyrna Beach, Ormond Beach, Edgewater, Holly Hill, Daytona Beach Shores, DeLand, Ponce Inlet, Wilbur-by-the-Sea, and Allandale are inside the regular route. No per-mile surcharges and no "out of area" calls.
What are your business hours?
Monday through Saturday, 7am to 7pm. After-hours calls get a callback first thing the next morning.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, licensed and insured for both residential and commercial work. Certificate of insurance available on request.
Do you haul junk from inside the house or just the curb?
Inside. Bedrooms, attics, garages, sheds, lanais, second floors. You don't have to drag anything to the curb first. Point to what needs to go and the crew carries it out. Floors and doorframes get protected on the path.

Pricing & Process

How much does junk removal cost in Port Orange?
Pricing depends on how much space your junk takes up in the truck. A single item like a couch or mattress costs less than a full garage cleanout. You get an exact flat-rate price on-site before any loading starts. No hidden fees, no add-ons after the fact.
Do you charge a service call or quote fee?
Quotes are no-charge. If you proceed with the haul on the same visit, there's no separate service-call fee. You pay only for the work itself.
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash, credit card, and check. Commercial accounts, property managers, and realtors managing estate properties can ask about invoicing options when you call.
Why is junk removal priced by volume?
Trucks have a fixed cubic capacity, dump facilities charge by load, and the crew's time scales with how full the truck gets. Pricing by volume keeps the math transparent: a quarter truck is a quarter-truck price, a full load is a full-load price, regardless of what's in it.

Scheduling & Same-Day

Can I get same-day junk removal in Port Orange?
Most days, yes. Calls before noon usually fit a same-day window. Weekends and the days after major storms get busier. If same-day doesn't work, the next available slot is usually the following morning.
How far in advance do I need to schedule?
Most of the time you don't. Same-day and next-day calls make up the bulk of the schedule. For larger jobs like full estate cleanouts, a day or two of notice helps block out enough time on the truck.
Do I need to be home during the pickup?
Someone needs to be there when the crew arrives to walk through the job and confirm the price. After that, you can stay or go. Some homeowners leave a garage code and let the crew handle the rest. A text goes out when the job is done.
What if I need help right after a hurricane?
Storm cleanups are one of the most common reasons people call between June and November. Demand spikes after a named storm, so scheduling may slip from same-day to next-day or the day after. Calling early in the morning gets you the best chance of a quick slot.

What We Take (and Don't)

What items will you not take?
Hazardous materials like paint, chemicals, motor oil, propane tanks, and asbestos are not hauled. Medical waste is also off the list. Most everything else is fair game, including furniture, appliances, electronics, yard waste, hot tubs, and construction debris. Call (386) 999-3832 if you're not sure about a specific item.
Does Port Orange pick up large items curbside?
The city has a bulk pickup program with limits on size, weight, and what they'll accept. Construction debris, appliances with refrigerant, and oversized items usually don't qualify. If the city won't take it, that's where we come in. We take what they won't.
Do you haul appliances with refrigerant?
Yes. Refrigerators, freezers, and window AC units are hauled regularly. Refrigerants are captured following EPA rules at the disposal end. Volusia County curbside service typically won't accept these units, which is why most calls come to us.
Can you handle full estate cleanouts?
Yes. Full-property cleanouts for inherited homes, probate sales, and move-outs are a regular call. Walkthrough on-site or via video, donation sorting included, every space swept before we hand the keys back. See the estate cleanout page for the full breakdown.

Disposal & Donation

What happens to the junk after you take it?
Sorted on the truck. Working furniture and usable household goods go to local Volusia donation centers. Metals get recycled. Yard waste goes to a county green-waste facility for composting or mulching. Construction materials run through their proper streams. The rest goes to the Volusia County landfill. The goal is to keep as much out of landfill as possible.
Do you donate furniture and household goods?
Yes, when condition allows. Solid frames, intact cushions, no major damage or bedbug history. Donation-worthy items go to local Volusia County charities. A tax-deductible receipt may be available depending on the partner, just ask before pickup.
Are refrigerants handled properly?
Yes. Refrigerators, freezers, and window AC units have their refrigerants captured by certified technicians at the disposal end, per EPA rules. The steel, copper, and aluminum from the unit gets recycled at Volusia County facilities.
What happens to construction debris?
Clean lumber gets sorted for recycling or reuse. Concrete and brick go to a separate processing facility. Drywall that's free of mold can be recycled at approved sites in Volusia. Tile, carpet, and mixed debris head to the landfill. Roofing shingles have their own disposal stream. See the construction debris page for more.
